Micro blading - semi permanent make up for eyebrows Watford

Micro blading eyebrow process

Micro blading is a type of eye brow artistry where hair strokes are placed carefully with pigment creating a natural looking fuller eye brow. As the ink is placed superficially into the skin micro blading has the advantage over permanent make up as it looks much more natural. The pigment colour will not change over time like it does with permanent make up.

We will discuss in detail about the look you are trying to achieve. A full medical history will be taken as well as consideration to any medication you are taking.

Please note micro blading is not recommended for the following clients

  • Pregnancy or nursing
  • Undergoing chemotherapy
  • Irritations on the eye brow ( acne , rash , sunburn )
  • Very sensitive or thin skin
  • Epilepsy
  • Viral infections

A patch test will be carried out to ensure you are not allergic to the pigment. A colour matching procedure will also be done to choose a pigment of your preference.

Small careful hair strokes are done by hand to mimic a natural eyebrow using a micro blading tool. The pigment is then placed into these strokes. The procedure is not painful and the sensation is similar to a scratch. Please note that once the procedure has been completed, the resultant colour is much darker than what was originally chosen. This colour will then fade over the course of a week to reveal the chosen colour.

Due to the way this area heals some strokes may not hold the colour. The retouch appointment is important as the few patches that need more colour can be reviewed. This appointment is usually 6 to 12 weeks after your original procedure.

As this procedure is invasive (needles are used) strict infection control protocol is used at Better Care Clinic Watford. Our micro blading specialists are highly trained and we hold a license to perform the procedure at the clinic.

Please let us know if you are taking any medications or have had any procedures before that have caused concern.
